About the Designer

Meet Jessie Renée. Named in honor of her grandmother, Renée, Jessie draws inspiration from her independence, grace, and enduring sense of self. From an early age, she was captivated by design, creating custom prom dresses for herself, her friends, and her sister, and showcasing them in local fashion shows. These formative experiences created a lifelong passion for craftsmanship and creativity.

Jessie earned her degree in Apparel Design from Iowa State University, where she developed a strong technical foundation in pattern-making and garment construction. While studying, she worked as an alterations specialist at a bridal salon, tailoring countless wedding gowns and honing her expertise in precision fit.

Following graduation, Jessie began her career at Hervé Léger under the mentorship of Christian Juul Nielsen, who later invited her to join AKNVAS as a designer. There, she played a key role in building a contemporary fashion brand from the ground up, deepening her appreciation for exceptional materials, thoughtful construction, and refined design.

A professional fit model from the outset of her career, Jessie brings an innate understanding of proportion, movement, and wearability to every piece she creates. Today, through her namesake brand, she merges technical excellence with emotional intention, designing clothing that is sophisticated, luxurious, and distinctly modern.
